Day 10, to Mosherville, together

On this lovely Tuesday, Adam joined me for my walk, and thanks to him, we took quite a bit of our hike along an old, Hants County railbed. Nice to have the shade on this sunny day; wonderful to have Adam's companionship. We spoke of bicycling and electrical engineering, rare Hants County plants and beautiful birds, good food and good people. We stopped for ice cream. We walked about 21.6 kms. Time went by very quickly.
We did wander off, near Meadow Pond, to see a few special plants in bloom. (My ram's  head lady's slipper photo did not turn out!) And along the Meander River we did a little wandering also. Our late lunch break was upon two stumps on the side of the trail. Tracy had packed us a couple great sandwiches and stuff.
Among the wildlife, we enjoyed two eastern garter snakes in quick sucession, one eating an earthworm for lunch. :) A ruffed grouse devotedly distracted us from her chicks, as we glimpsed one of them.
My friendly companions for the day were Lexi, the share-a-dog, along with Tracy and Adam, all going above and beyond in the hosting and caring departmemts. Tonight will be a reunion of sorts with a bundle of Windsor area friends. Tomorrow,  the pilgrimage continues, this time with Tracy at my side, and a journey along the 236 to Riverside Corner, towards Kennetcook.
