We have plenty of wildlife in our backyard here in Amherst. Lots of birds... including some large, young pheasants in recent days. It helps that we still have trees and shrubs behind us. Here are the biggest visitors yet, some white-tailed deer.
Just twice have we seen the spotted fawn with the mother.
We got news this week that the Town is looking to have someone develop the land right behind us, in a residential way. This may mean the deer who are residents now will have to move on! We shall see what happens in the months ahead.
